When Faith Meets Real Life: When Someone You Love Dies
Losing someone we love can shake us to the very core. Even when we believe in heaven, trust in the resurrection, and know that death is not the end, our hearts can still break.
In this episode of The Catholic Journey, Deacon Pat Kearns reflects on grief, faith, and the hope we find in Christ. Jesus Himself wept at the death of Lazarus, reminding us that tears are not a sign of weak faith—they can be a sign of deep love.
Faith doesn't take away our grief. It gives us hope in the midst of it. We can miss someone terribly and still believe. We can cry and still trust. And we can carry the memory of those we love while trusting that, through Christ, the grave does not have the final word.
If you're grieving someone today, this episode is for you.
