Islam will overwhelm Christendom unless Christians recognize the demographic realities, begin reproducing again, and share the gospel with Muslims.
CHRISTANITY IN PERIL - Written By Greg Watkins
EYE OPENEER VIDEO: To summarize the video, if a nation birth rate falls below 2.11, that nation is in decline. Once a nations’ birthrate falls below 1.9 history indicates it will not make a come back because there just are not sufficient children being born to produce the population required to sustain the nation 2 generations in the future.
SPECIFIC BIRTHRATES: France 1.8 - England 1.6 - Greece 1.3 - Germany 1.3 - Italy 1.2 - Spain 1.1 Yet because of immigration, which is 90% Muslim, Europe as we know it will cease to exist. For comparison, the Muslim birth rate in France is 8.1. France will be a Muslim nation in 39 years.
It is not much better in North America. Canada’s birth rate is 1.6, America’s non Hispanic birth rate is also 1.6. Counting Hispanic births, America’s birth rate is 2.11, the bare minimum needed to sustain our civilization. Muslim population in the US in 1970 was 100,000. Today it is 9 Million. By the year 2050 the Muslim population will be 50 million. Muslims have recently surpassed the number of Catholics worldwide.
CAUSES IN BIRTHRATE’S DECLINE? Yep, overpopulation was a myth pushed on Americans. Since the 1950’s four generations of parents thought it prudent to limit their family to two children so as not to over tax their standard of living or the earth’s resources? Paul Ehrlich and his best selling book in 1969 The Population Bomb has all the intellectual credibility of the Flat Earth Society. If every one of the earth’s 6 billion resided in Texas, there would be room enough for every family of four to have a house and 1/8th acre of land - and the rest of the globe would be vacant of humans.
When my daughter was pregnant with her 4th, 5th & 6th child, naive folks in the stores who previously fell hook, line and sinker for the population bomb myth, would comment, "Are all these children YOURS?' The day is coming soon when these same folks will welcome a young adult in their assisted living quarters who speaks English to them.
In addition, since 1973, there are approximately 50 million US citizens missing. They were conceived as mistakes, and not allowed to be born. The devil of "Choice" killed 50 million citizens, the oldest who would be 37 this year.
But I suspect that abortion was only the tip of the population decline iceberg. Contraception is really the culprit. Since the 1950’s married couples could easily choose to restrict the size of their families. Contraception got its start in the Christian West in the 1920's. Up till that time, all Christian denominations held that contraception was a sin. At its 1930 Lambeth Conference, the Anglican / Episcopalian church, swayed by growing social pressure, announced that contraception would be allowed for couples but only "when there were serious reasons" to limit the size of a family. By the time the pill became rampant in America and Europe in the early 1960's, all the Protestant churches professed it acceptable to contracept. Rampant use of the Pill, vasectomies, and tubal ligations have been extremely effective in reducing the birthrate.
Only the Catholic Church still proclaims the historic Christian position against contraception. But that official position, which held that contraception was a sin was under attack. In 1968 Pope Paul VI issued his landmark encyclical Humanae Vitae there was an overwhelming outcry and major dissenting by a majority catholic priests and Bishops. The secular media had utter disdain for this antiquated belief left over from the Dark Ages and suggested the Church join the 20th century. Indeed, if there's anything on earth that unites the Church's adversaries, it is the teaching against contraception.
Humanae Vitae stated: Contraception is "any action which, either in anticipation of the conjugal act [sexual intercourse], or in its accomplishment, or in the development of its natural consequences, proposes, whether as an end or as a means, to render procreation impossible" (Humanae Vitae 14). This includes sterilization, condoms and other barrier methods, spermicides, coitus interruptus (withdrawal method), the Pill, and all other such methods. However, history will decide the wisdom of the Pope when in 1968 he listed four primary consequences should contraception become the norm. Pope Paul VI predicted:
· a general lowering of moral standards throughout society;
· a rise in infidelity,
· a lessening of respect for women by men; and
· the coercive use of reproductive technologies by governments.
It appears our society has sunk even lower than the Pope predicted. Pornography is rampant & homosexuals are encouraged by governments and secular media. Infanticide is practiced in abortion and particularly partial birth abortions. Divorce ends half of all marriages. Trafficking of women for sexual pleasures is occurring. China limits each couple to one child with forced abortions and coercive laws.
CONTRACEPTIVE FALLOUT: When you can divorce the sexual union from fertility, then why should it be restricted to a married man and woman? "If contraceptive intercourse is permissible, then what objection could there be after all sorts of sexual deviancy; to cohabitation, masturbation, copulation, sodomy, polygamy, domestic violence and a host of other perverted sexual practices. Today, with total sexual license, the only restraint is the fear of sexually transmitted diseases.
WHAT HOPE DO WE HAVE TO SAVE THE CHRISTIAN WEST? God is the one truth to which all mankind is drawn. Jesus has professed that his church will last until the end of time. “And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it”. (Matt 16:18) But He also tells us a lot depends on us when He posed the question in Luke 18: 7-8 And will not God vindicate his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will vindicate them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, will he find faith on earth?"
St. Augustine reflected on the last statement by suggesting: Our Lord adds this to show, that when faith fails, prayer dies. In order to pray then, we must have faith, and that our faith fail not, we must pray. Faith pours forth prayer, and the pouring forth of the heart in prayer gives steadfastness to faith.
PRAY, PRAY AND PRAY SOME MORE. In 1571 Islam was on the verge of conquering all Europe. The Turkish Sultan Selim’s fleet controlled most of the Mediterranean Sea and had vowed to soon turn St. Peters into a Mosque. Pope Clement VII called upon all Catholics to pray the rosary for victory of the fleet of the Holy League of Venice over the Ottoman Turks. That prayer was answered in the great sea battle near Lepanto. It was the first major defeat of the Turks in 200 years and ended the threat of Islam conquering Italy at least until 2050.
WHAT COULD CONVERT ATHIESTS AND MUSLIMS: Sister Faustina in 1930’s often saw Jesus in front of the Blessed Sacrament. He told her that the day would come when God, in his mercy, will let every living person see his soul the way God sees it, and they will not die. Should that happen, mass conversions would take place and there would be a return to restoring unity in one Church.
