We decided that a day that was 110 degrees outside necessitated some degree of water, sooooo, we loaded up the kayaks and headed off to the lake.
Liz and Mackenzie jumped into their cool double kayak and had a lot of fun.
Sean has mastered the kayak and likes to go off on excursions.
Then it got a little hot so we decided to jump in, "here's look'n at you baby...."
Boy did the water feel refreshing.

Have a little fun why don't you Sean.
And why don't you stir up the mud while you are at it!!!
And back into the kayaks and off we went.
The girls are so fast we could hardly catch up.
Sean tried his luck at fishing, don't let him tell you the story of the one that got away.Baiting the hook with a "Marshmallow."
If I only had a guitar this big
Time for a break
Sean exploring an island. He did you see that?
The choppers are still fighting the fires with huge water buckets.
Dipping the bucket for another load
Pulling out of the water
And off it goes.
What a great day, spending time together as a family, laughing, enjoying the water, the sun, and yes a little smoke due to the fires.
Family life is the best. What a blessing it is to have a beautiful wife and such special kids.
God has given me so much to be thankful for.
