This is a picture of Mount Shasta. The 14,000 foot mountain has a few glaciers that never seem to melt, but I must say this is the most baren I have ever seen the mountain.
We have had our typical summer, maybe a little drier and maybe a little hotter, many days are up and over 110 degrees.
I can imagine how people in the Midwest are dying for sunshine in the late winter, and praying for the snow to go away, we are actually dying for some rain, some coolness, and look forward to fall and winter.
It hasn't been 40 years in the desert, but hot is hot!
