Here is my son Sean and I presiding at the Divine Mercy celebration at 3 pm today.
We began with the Exposition of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
And we Honored Him with Praise.
We were blessed with the talented musicians that gave us holy and spirit filled music.
Then a reading from Saint Faustina's Diary.
Followed by another prophetic reading from Saint Faustina as dictated by Christ himself.
The Gospel was proclaimed followed by a brief homily describing Forgiveness and Mercy.
Then my wife Liz, Began the Chaplet.
Marilyn prayerfully led a decade of the Chaplet.
Mary concluded the Chaplet with such reverence and passion.
Dave sang a song that he had composed "Rivers of Mercy"
that took us deep into adoration of our Lord.
We enjoyed 20 minutes of adoration accompanied by rich and spiritual music.
We adored Christ and meditated on His Mercy and Love in our lives.
After the incensing, Sean placed the Humeral Veil on my shoulders
in preparation for the Eucharistic Blessing.
With covered hands I took hold of the Holy Monstrance.
Then the Blessing.....
The Divine Praises followed and the final prayer.
What a Special and Sacred Event made Holy by those who Love the Lord, acknowledging that we are sinful at times, needing God's Mercy and Forgiveness in our lives, and with contrite hearts, accept Christ's Generosity and Mercy, purifying our souls and invigorating our desire to spread His love to others.
