We were touring under the Goldengate bridge.Well, I just received the message that two of my five brothers (Kevin and Tim) are heading off to Africa next month. A few months ago Kevin informed us that he wanted to take a sabbatical and do something, not just vacation, but do something with purpose. Well just coming off of our mission trip to Guatemala, what else would we recommend, "A Mission Trip."
It so happened that we had a friend (Father J.B.) visiting Redding. Father J.B. is a priest who lives in Africa and does missionary work. We thought that it would be a good idea for Kevin to meet Father J.B. and now there is a trip planned.
I have to tell you that all of my brothers are very special, but these two men have a very unique and spiritual quality to them. I hope and pray that this trip will not be just a vacation but connect with them in a deep and spiritually passionate way. Both Tim and Kevin have seen much of the world through their travels, but this will be their first missionary trip.
Please keep them in your prayers during the month of November while they are in Kenya.
