Back To Traditional School

Sean asked if he could attend traditional school.
After sitting down with him and discussing the pro's and con's, we decided that he could attend the Catholic School (Mercy High School) located 30 miles away.

Check out the School's website, click here
I asked Sean about his first few days back to school and he couldn't stop stating how nice the kids are. Mercy is a small country school.

This really is a special school.
Can you believe that in a High School, none of the kids lock their lockers. They find no need. They state that they are like family and there is no need to lock lockers.......

And there is tackle FOOTBALL!!!!!!

Ok Mackenzie, you look great in Sean's helmet as well.

You would not believe how excited Sean is to be playing tackle football.

There are pro's and con's reagrding homeschool and traditional school.

I would never have my kids attend Public School, especiaily since I believe they are out of control. But the decision for catholic school or home school is a decision that must be made with full consideration of the child and their needs.

Some of the best kids that I have met, are kids that have received a combination of both types of school.

For now, Sean is back to traditional school (Freshman) , while mackenzie (7th Grade) is homeschooled with mom.

The saga and life in the Kearns family continues........
