Be Not Afraid Family Hours - It Is a GO!

I am soooo excited.

I presented the idea of beginning the "Be Not Afraid Family Hours" to the Pastor and to the parish council last night and received permission to begin. We will start March 5th.

Here are some details....

Be Not Afraid Family Hours

The “Be Not Afraid Family Hours” are so much more than just a Holy Hour.

These are Holy Hours that combine devotion and catechism. While you are praying you are also learning more about the catechism and other spiritual topics along with hearing inspirational messages from Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa.

These Holy Hours are guided by professional videos developed by the Apostolate for Family Consecration and has the approval of Pope Benedict XVI through his Pontifical Council for the Laity.

Beginning Thursday March 5, 2009, the Holy Hours will be held
Each Thursday from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Mercy Parish.

Every person seeking to develop a closer relationship with our Lord, and desiring to nurture their faith, is invited to these hours, especially families.

The Holy Hours were designed so families can come together in the Eucharistic Presence of our Lord to pray, learn our faith, and build a strong Catholic community.
