What is De-Christianized?

When a person slowly stops using his muscles he becomes what is called "De-conditioned."
This often occurs in the elderly for a variety of reasons. For some, they have multiple medical issues that often produce pain and limited mobility which in turn is a cause for a progressive lack of muscular use.
When a muscle isn't used, it begins to atrophy (Shrink).
The more it is neglected, the weaker is becomes and before you know it, the person has lost the ability to perform ordinary functions (i.e walking, etc.)
For some, the cause could be more of a psychological nature (i.e depression). The limiting factor isn't a medical issue at all, but rather a psychological issue that could be an issue of motivation or despair.

You don't have to be old for this de-conditioning to occur. Often Obesity and a sedentary lifestyle is a progressive disaster. A person just becomes larger and larger, more sedentary and more sedentary and before you know it, they have lost the ability to perform normal activities of daily living. They have become de-conditioned.
This whole concept of becoming de-conditioned lead me to contemplate one becoming "De-Christianized."
One might start out a healthy Christian but for some particular reason they have slowly stopped practicing their faith. They had slowly reduced their exercise of virtue and charity in their lives.
Prayer that had been a daily spiritual exercise had been replaced by TV, excessive Eating, Drinking, Gossip, etc. All of which weakened the soul and after enough time had left it seemingly flaccid and atrophied.
The grace-filled sacrament of confession had been neglected for years.
Even Sunday Holy Communion, although consumed, seemed lifeless to a soul that had been de-conditioned (De-Chrsitianized).
One might even call themselves a catholic, but the true essence of the term had been long forgotten, the only act of Catholicism they do is show up for Mass.
I was once told by a wise man: "It doesn't matter how many times I go into the garage, or how many hours I spend in the garage, it doesn't make me a car."
Just because a person shows up for Mass each week, sits in the pew, even might listen half heartily to a homily, consumes the consecrated host, doesn't necessarily make them a catholic.
Being a catholic means embracing the faith, living the faith everyday, exercising the elements of the faith daily, and remaining strong and vibrant in holiness.
We are living in a time on the cusp of world crisis. It has been progressively happening all around us for sometime, some much so that most of us have been desensitised to the effects and see them as "normal." I heard on the radio today that over 30% of Protestant clergy have visited Internet pornographic sites.
We live in a culture of death and the only thing standing in the way of total collapse are the Christians.
However, most Christians are really not very Christians at all, only in name, not in action.
At this rate, without the presence of "real Christians" evil will over take the world.
How do we prevent this for happened?
We wake up, we wake up our friends that are so called Christians, we lead by example and then we call our Christian friends on their behaviors as well.
Our nation was founded on Christian principles, but those principles has long faded away.
It is our obligation to demand that they resurface. We are at war with evil. You can no longer remain stagnant, to do nothing is to actually participate in evil. You either act as a faithful Christian or you don't.
There is no such thing as a Christian who doesn't live a life of discipline, prayer, chastity, and charity.
Those that don't, are erroneously calling themselves Christians and scandalizing our name, our reputation and our mission. Get out....... You are traders in disguise.
Today is a time of truth. You are to choose your destiny. You are to choose your desire. You are to choose your identity. Are you a true Christian, a true Catholic, or not?
Have you been de-Christianized and haven't even realized it? Have you been a victim of the progressive culture of death? Has your soul been de-conditioned?
Embrace you faith today.
