Camino De Santiago

Along with a group very special friends, my brother Tim, and two Priests, we will be walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain beginning in August. Please friend me "Deacon Pat Kearns" on Facebook to follow the journey. I realize with limited internet, Facebook will be the easiest way to share the journey. I will share more on the blog when I return. I am also looking forward to using the experience in the current novel I am work on "Climbing Out of the Darkness."

Class of 2008 Emblem Design

Liz and I just returned from another weekend in Sacramento for our Diaconate training. This weekend we enjoyed having Father Bretzke teach on the subject of "Critical Life issues."
Father Bretzke is a Jesuit Priest, a Moral Theologian, and has taught in Rome, as well as Berkley for many years, and is also a professor at Marquette this year.
It was a great class with many stimulating discussions, explorations of life situations, and pastoral exercises.
On a different note, one of our classmates designed the above shown emblem for our class.
I think it is pretty cool, it has our date of planned ordination in the center 06-07-08.....
Less than 3 months to go (God and Catholic Church willing) until ordination......
My comprehensive oral exam is scheduled for April 25th at 1:30 pm in Sacramento.
Please keep me in your prayers.
I will be studying like mad until then, not that I haven't been all year,
but this is the last major hurdle....
