Our world has become a place where the public and private criticism of others is pandemic and acceptable. Just walk through a grocery store, a coffee shop, offices, and you will hear people finding fault with everyone but themselves.
You might think this is a silly challenge, but test yourself. Try to go 1 day, Yes just 24 hours without speaking a negative word about another person.
You might just be surprised what you find out about yourself.
Judgement is not a bad thing. We must use judgement in our lives all the time; Identifying if a particular situation is safe, how we should respond to situations, etc.
But chronic judging and criticizing of others, even when one thinks they are justified in do so only negatively effects their relationships and has destructive effects on society as a whole.
Try the negative talk challenge......... You can't help but grow from the experience.
Most people I have spoken to about this state that they had no idea that they had such a personal problem with this. They were surprised to know that they couldn't make it more than 1 hour without speaking negatively about someone.
