Another trip to Vina (Cistercian Trappist Monastery)

There is something so very special about our trips to the monastery.

There is such a sense of peace within these holy grounds.

I love to walk through the orchards and reflect on life.
The same orchards that the monks pray and work within....

The vineyards are so full of life.

There is tranquil beauty in the ponds.

The fish are amazing to watch.

Singular beauty

Such stillness

We have a family tradition that Mackenzie has been dying to partake in.
Once one becomes a teenager (13), they can begin to drive within the monastery.
This was Mackenzie's first stint at our family tradition.
She just loved it....
The squirrels are fun to watch

Cute

Look close..... is he smiling?

I loved Vina. Was my first in-person experience with monks and Benedictine-inspired community. Got to get back there some day soon.
